Local Tribal Liaison

Description:
This is a contract-based position designed to enhance collaboration between the Bristol Bay Resilience Collaborative and Bristol Bay Tribes, Tribal organizations, and community members. This role is critical in supporting culturally grounded engagement, strengthening tribal partnerships, and ensuring community priorities are integrated into project planning and implementation. The Local Tribal Liaison will serve as a critical connector between the Bristol Bay Resilience Collaborative and Bristol Bay Tribal communities. Required Qualifications:
Deep knowledge of Bristol Bay Tribal communities, culture, and protocols
Strong relationships within the Bristol Bay region
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Program Evaluator for the CAP and BBRC

Description:
This is a contract-based position. The selected evaluator will work closely with the Climate Adaptation Program (CAP) Steering Team to co-develop and implement evaluation strategies that measure the effectiveness and impact of program activities over a five-year period (2025-2029) for both the CAP and the Bristol Bay Resilience Collaborative (BBRC). Scope of Work:
- Collaborate with the CAP Manager to provide orientation and with the Steering Team to co-develop specific metrics of success at the outset of the contract.
- Track and assess these metrics throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training opportunities, workshops, outreach and education efforts, tribal support activities, and the Bristol Bay Regional Resilience Collaborative.
- Use both the co-developed metrics and independent expertise to provide a comprehensive evaluation of program activities.
- Conduct a final evaluation and reporting in September 2029 to assess overall program success & outcomes.
- Occasional travel to attend project events. Airfare, lodging, meals and per diem will be reimbursed at the government rate.
