About the BBRC

The Bristol Bay Resilience Collaborative (BBRC) is a collaborative of people, communities, Tribes, and organizations in Bristol Bay, aimed at increasing the region’s resilience to climate change and its economic, ecological, cultural, and social impacts. We’re hosted by the Climate Adaptation Program (CAP) in the Natural Resources Department of the Bristol Bay Native Association (BBNA). This collaborative was created under the Bristol Bay Climate Adaptation Planning Program, one of the Climate Resilience Regional Challenge projects funded by the NOAA Office of Coastal Management.

Together, we can provide assistance with:

  • Climate Adaptation Planning
  • Mapping and GIS needs
  • Applying for climate/environmental grant opportunities
  • Providing letters of support for community proposals
  • Developing education resources for K-12 students & educators
  • Organizing and hosting resilience workshops
  • Facilitating connections with researchers, agencies, and other tribal programs
